Visible Mending Exhibition comes back home to Spalding

The Visible Mending Exhibition of stitched, darned, altered postcards that has been travelling by post around the UK, returns back to Spalding.

The exhibition has connected artists, individuals, arts organisations, galleries and communities; it has reached those who find it difficult to access the arts, for whatever reason and enabled everyone to take part in a project using the traditional craft of darning, the digital platform of social media and a contemporary methodology.

The postcards will be on display at the  ‘Arts 4 Dementia’ training day at the South Holland Centre on Thurs 9 October – so if you’re booked on you have a surprise in store.  They will then be exhibited in various venues around the town – keep checking in to find out details.
