I love a good yarnbomb and so it appears do lots of others and for very good reasons…..not only does it reduce the fear of crime according to Leicester http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-21659158 but it’s also a great way to pass on a traditional craft in a very accessible way http://www.westsussextoday.co.uk/news/county-news/yarn-bombing-gives-a-colourful-surprise-1-5116823
Yarnbombing is colourful, tactile, inclusive, great for community cohesion and has no language barriers….what’s not to like? It’s great for hand/eye coordination, gets different generations working together, brilliant for the creative curriculum, reuses leftover wools, doesn’t deface or harm and is fantastic fun!
If you’re a school, group, college, organisation, fair or festival organiser , town planner, regeneration officer or what ever else and you feel that a wonderful, vibrant knitted display with accompanying community workshops is just what you need then get in touch…just need to get this commission finished and I’m all yours! Distance no problem.
